چکیده

Globally a huge amount of municipal solid waste (MSW) is being produced which very difficult to dispose. Composting MSW one the options recycling, but its use by farmers limited because low nutrient status. This study has considered some organic amendments increase status compost for potential as an fertilizer in rice cultivation. We prepared three types amended mixing 20% mustard oil cake (MOC) and 30% poultry manure (PM) or cow dung (CD) sugarcane press mud (SPM) with 50% compost. The inoculum Trichoderma viride was used accelerate composting process. different improved level A field experiment conducted evaluate performances composts alone combination chemical fertilizers on yield, content balance (var. BRRI dhan28). 2018 at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) farm, Mymensingh having silt loam texture, pH water 6.7 2.79% matter; soil Aeric Haplaquept under order Inceptisols. There were 10 treatments consisting (urea, triple superphosphate, muriate potash, gypsum zinc sulphate) four (three unamended). Based results yield N, P, K S concentration grain, treatment containing +10 t ha−1 (MSW + MOC SPM ratio 5:2:3) performed best. apparent negative balances N (11–45 kg ha−1) (6–48 ha−1), positive P (8–71 (4–46 soils, across treatments. Results this have significant value management strategies cultivation sub-tropical countries.

Effect of compost-, sand-, or gypsum-amended waste foundry sands on turfgrass yield and nutrient content.

To prevent the 7 to 11 million metric tons of waste foundry sand (WFS) produced annually in the USA from entering landfills, current research is focused on the reuse of WFSs as soil amendments. The effects of different WFS-containing amendments on turfgrass growth and nutrient content were tested by planting perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) and tall fescue (Schedonorus phoenix (Scop.) Hol...

Chromium uptake by rice and accumulation in soil amended with municipal solid waste compost.

Effect of addition of municipal solid waste compost (MSWC) on chromium (Cr) content of submerged rice paddies was studied. Experiments were conducted during the three consecutive wet seasons from 1997 to 1999 on rice grown under submergence, at the Experimental Farm of Calcutta University, India. A sequential extraction method was used to determine the various chromium fractions in MSWC and cow...

Integrated Nutrient Management for Wheat by Municipal Solid Waste Manure in Rice-Wheat and Cotton-Wheat Cropping Systems

The effects of integrated nutrient management (INM) by municipal solid waste manure (MSWM) on wheat yield were studied in rice-wheat and cotton-wheat systems. each site was used as an independent experimental unit. Two fertilizer doses (conventional and site-specific) were applied in each of three improved techniques: chemical fertilizers, and MSWM plus chemical fertilizers with and without pes...
